EVALUATION OF CARDIORESPIRATORY CAPACITY OF ACEH FOOTBALL PLAYERS FOLLOWING THE PON XXI 2024 (ACEH–SUMUT)

Football requires basic body abilities in the form of physical, technical, tactical, and mental abilities. This sport requires mastery skills in aspects of physical abilities. In achieving success, there is a need to understand the physical profile of the players in more depth regarding the VO2max analysis in football games. However, in practice, research related to VO2max in Acehnese football players is still not widely carried out, so it is important to evaluate the level of physical fitness and potential of the players. This study aims to determine the cardiorespiratory ability of Acehnese football players after the Implementation of PON XXI/2024 ACEH-SUMUT and to determine the percentage level of Acehnese football players after the Implementation of PON XXI/2024 ACEH SUMUT. This study uses a qualitative research method, which is a research method that uses numerical data to analyze phenomena. The population in this study were all Acehnese football athletes after the implementation of PON XXI Aceh - North Sumatra in 2024. The data collection technique used a 2.4 KM running test. The data processing technique used the calculation of average values and the calculation of percentage values. Based on the calculation results of the average value of the 2.4 KM running variable for Acehnese soccer players after the implementation of the 21st PON Aceh-North Sumatra in 2024, which was 11.88 minutes, it was in the Good category. With a percentage of (1) Very good category 17%, (2) Good category 30%, (3) Moderate category 48%, (4) Less than 4% category, and (5) Very less than 0% category
