Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of Physical Education teachers as motivators and facilitators in improving Physical Education, Sports, and Health (PJOK) learning outcomes at SD Negeri Gunong Meuh, West Aceh Regency. The research employs a quantitative approach with a descriptive research type. The research subjects consisted of 30 students from grades V and VI, selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data collection was conducted through a Guttman scale questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results indicated that the role of the PJOK teacher as a motivator is in the "good" category with an average score of 12, while the teacher's role as a facilitator is in the "fair" category. PJOK teachers are able to create a pleasant learning atmosphere, provide motivation, and assist students in the learning process. However, limited facilities and infrastructure remain an obstacle in PJOK learning. Thus, the role of teachers as motivators and facilitators is crucial in improving student learning outcomes in PJOK subjects
